Games Like Game Keeper: Somebody Messed Up My Shop!

Tamae calls this genre the “collectathon”: one big map, a huge mess to tidy, abilities that make it faster, and a shift that ends when everything is in place. He says it was largely started by Librarian, and that playing Cellar Keeper on stream in August 2026 is what made him want to build his own.

Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library!

The one that set the template: return scattered books to their shelves in an arcane library, unlocking abilities as rows of shelves are completed. It is by far the most reviewed of the four. Pick it if you want the original and a calmer, more magical setting.

Cellar Keeper

A cozy sorting game where you shelve 2,448 bottles by type through a forgotten cellar, unlocking helpful abilities as you go. It is the direct inspiration for Game Keeper. Pick it if you liked the loop and want something shorter.

Château Pluie: The New Cellar Keeper

You inherit a vineyard and its cellar of 1,600 wine bottles, with rain and music in the background. The smallest of the four, and the cheapest. Pick it for a short, quiet session.

What Game Keeper adds

According to its developers, Game Keeper was designed around what they felt was missing in the others:

• A real skill tree instead of hitting full power quickly and waiting on cooldowns. See the skill tree guide.

• Plush collectibles with real boosts, an idea Librarian had in a smaller form.
• Parody covers on every series. See the parody list.
• The biggest pile: 4,290 items, about 40% more than Librarian.

The trade-off is its AI-assisted box art, which some players will not accept; Librarian and Cellar Keeper are the alternatives if that is you.
